Description
Why do you assume?
That this body knows it’s own skin
that what you see is what’s inside
that I’m a likeness to my kin.
I’m swimming deep within,
borrowed from others whose lives where lived thin.
I am beyond skin
beyond this shell so hardened
risen from the earth
an expression of her soul,
sister flowers of her mind’s garden
growing fearless, growing bold.
One day you will see me beyond my skin
You will feel me beyond your needs
you will taste me beyond your drought filled nightmare.
I’m dancing on her golden shores, barefoot, tingling with delights.
Come find me there.
